6 th EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES BADMINTON
CHAMPIONSHIP


In 2009, the University of Geneva celebrated its 450-year-
anniversary. A part of this remarkable anniversary was also
the 6th European Universities Badminton Championship
which the university organised together with the Swiss Uni-
versity Sports Federation. The event took place from June 21
to 24, 2009 with participation of 18 university teams with
173 athletes and officials. In the Team Event, the finals were
held in the fantastic atmosphere and the Academy of Hu-
manities and Economics Lodz from Poland won against the
Loughborough University from the United Kingdom 3:1 and
defended the title won in the previous year.
