2 nd EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY FUTSAL CHAMPIONSHIP
The number of participants increased in 2005, when Latina,
the youngest Italian City, hosted the 2nd European University
Futsal Championship. 15 university teams, national univer-
sity champions from 13 European countries came to Italy.
Although the weather was not so hot as the year before on
Cyprus, the heat on the playgrounds remained high, espe-
cially when teams entered the matches for the medals. In the
finals, the same countries as the previous year were repre-
sented. The University of Split got a chance to bring the title
of the European University Champions for the first time to
Croatia. Six minutes before the end of the match, it looked
they would succeed, since they were leading with 3:1. But
then the students from Novi Sad made a sudden turn and
defended the title of the best university team in Europe by
winning 4:3.
