The speed of the wheel is one reason that the Ferris wheel ride is so exciting.- When the input force is applied to the wheel, as it is with a steering wheel, the axle turns over a shorter distance
but with greater force, so the ideal mechanical advantage is greater than 1. This allows you to turn the steering
wheel with relatively little effort, while the axle of the steering wheel applies enough force to turn the car.
