dealing 5 ( 1 d 6 + 2 )piercingdamageonahit.
 Ifacriticalhitisscoredagainstaterracottawarrior,it
shattersandisdestroyed.
Theterracottawarriorsremainperfectlystillandposeno
threataslongasthetombremainsrelativelyquiet.Ifany
charactertalksloudly,stepsonapieceofbrokenpottery,or
makesanyotherequivalentnoisewhileinthetomb,read:


Alltheterracottawarriorsturntheirheadstofaceyou.
Asone,theypulltheirswordsafewinchesfromtheir
scabbards.

Afterthissinglewarning,theterracottawarriorsattackif
theyhearanyothernoise.Withouttheuseofmagic,any
creaturewalkingthroughthetombmustsucceedonaDC 12
Dexterity(Stealth)checktoremainquiet.Movingthrough
potteryshardsimposesdisadvantageonthecheck.Once
rousedintoaction,theterracottawarriorsattackallthe
creaturesinthetomb.


Coffin


Shagambi’scoffinistrappedbutnotlocked.Whenitslidis
opened,amusicboxinsidethecoffinisactivated,rousingthe
terracottawarriorsiftheycanhearitshauntingmelody(even
iftheadventurershavebeensilentuptothatpoint).Any
characterwhosucceedsonaDC 14 Wisdom(Perception)
checkwhilegentlyliftingthecoffinlidspotsthetrap’strigger
wire,whichcanthenbecutwiththieves’toolsandasuccessful
DC 12 Dexteritycheck.Themusicboxisactivatedonafailed
check.

Thestoneslabsareimpervioustodamageandspells,and
theyarefittedsosnuglythatevencreaturesingaseousform
can’tslippastthem.Ifanycharacterstandsinfrontofaslab
andraiseshisorherlefthandwithpalmextended,bothslabs
openatthesametime,regardlessofanyeffortstakento
preventthemfromdoingso.Whenthishappens,read:

Thisimageisvisibleonlywhiletheslabsareintheirraised
positions.Frominsidethemaze,acharactercanmakeboth
slabssinkbackdownintothefloorbystandinginfrontof
eitherslabwhileholdinguphisorherrightarm—aslongas
thatarmhasbeenseveredattheelbow.Itdoesn’tmatterhow
thearmiscutoff,butstickingitinthesphereofannihilationin
area 49 Bisonewaytodoit.

Agreenstonefaceofdevilishcountenanceprotrudes
