4. RUINED BARRACKS
TheCragmaw goblins makeuseof everybit of available
space in the castle.
Thesouthwest tower of the castle is little morethan a heap
of rubble. Several ragged bedrolls are scattered across the
remaining floorspace, and a small,twisting passage leads
east through the ruins.
Three goblinsbunk here. Though the rubble appears
dangerous, the toweris stable, andthe eastern
passage is safe.
DEVELOPMENTS
Anyloudnoiseshere attract the attention of the goblinsin
area7. Onegoblincomes to investigate the disturbance.
If it doesn't return, or if it spotstrouble andsounds the
alarm, the others investigate.
AWARDING EXPERIENCE POINTS
Divide 150 XP equally among the characters if the party
defeats these goblins.
5. STOREROOM
Caravans raided by the Cragmaws alongthe HighRoad
andthe Triboar Trailsupplyprovisions for the castle.
Old casksof salted meat and sacksof rotting grain fill this
storage area.Among the supplies, you see a bloody suit of
chain mail,a heavycrossbow, and an unsheathed longsword
withthe emblem of Neverwinter worked into its hilt.
Though the stores hereare not edibleby human
standards, the goblins cantolerate themwhen fresher
foodisn'tavailable.
Onesmall caskis filledwithan exceptional dwarven
brandy, whichthe goblins overlooked because of its size.
Thecaskcontains the equivalent of twenty glasses. A
character whoimbibes a glass of brandy regains 1 hit
point,but a character whodrinks twoglasses within 1
hourbecomes poisoned for 1 hour.
Sildar'sGear.Thechain mailandlongsword belong
to Sildar Hallwinter. Sildaris grateful if at leasthis
longsword is returned to him.
6. HOBGOBLIN BARRACKS
TheCragmaws are a mixedtribe of goblinoids, with
a handful of bugbears lording overlarger numbers of
miserable goblins anda fewhobgoblins. Thehobgoblins
planto dispose of the bugbears andtakeoversomeday,
but for now,the bugbears are too strong a threat.
