SLOPE FORMULA

Slope is defined as:

To find the slope of a line containing the points (x 1 , y 1 ) and (x 2 , y 2 ):

What does has no intersection with mean? It means that the lines are parallel, which in turn means
that the lines have the same slope. If you know the slope-intercept form, you’re able to spot the
correct answer instantly.

When an equation is in the form y = mx + b, the letter m represents the slope, and the letter b
represents the y-intercept. The equation in the stem is That’s in slope-intercept
form, so the coefficient of x is the slope.
