In all the answer choices, a = 1, so you can say more simply

So the answer is the equation with a = 1, b = −6, and c = 13: x^2 − 6 x + 13 = 0.

Another way to approach this problem is to generate the expression from the roots. If the
solutions are 3 ± 2i, then the factored expression is [x − (3 + 2i)][x − (3 − 2i)].

Multiplying this out gives

Combining like terms gives you

x^2 − 6x + 9 − 4i^2 = x^2 − 6x + 13
