UNIFORM SOLIDS

A rectangular solid is one type of uniform solid. A uniform solid is what you get
when you take a plane and move it, without tilting it, through space. Here are
some uniform solids.

The way these solids are drawn, the top and bottom faces are parallel and
congruent. These faces are called the bases. You can think of each of these
solids as the result of sliding the base through space. The perpendicular
distance through which the base slides is called the height.
