(Marvins-Underground-K-12) #1
Volume  of  a   Cube = s^3

The volume of this cube is 2^3 = 8.

Volume of a cylinder: A cylinder is a uniform solid whose base is a circle.
Given base radius r and height h, the area of the base is πr^2 , and so the volume
formula is this:

Volume  of  a   Cylinder    =   πr^2 h

In the cylinder above, r = 2 and h = 5, so

Volume  =   π(2^2 )(5)  =   20π

Example 3 gives you the volume of a uniform solid and asks for the surface
area.
