process, by doing it again and again until we understood it—we learned to write by writing. Writing AP
essays is a skill you can learn to do well. However, you have to devote time to practice. You cannot learn
to write good essays simply by reading this book. This book gives you the guidelines and the tools to use.
You must actually practice writing.
