Pick ‘n’ mix
I absolutely loved stitching this
colourful design by Lucie Heaton.
Not only can you stitch this chart
just by using your spare odds and
ends of thread, it’s also so easy
to pick up and put down! I could
stitch a leaf anytime I had a few
spare minutes. Thanks again for
the lovely ideas in Crazy!
Margaret Henderson, Newbottle
Katie says: This is such a great
stash-busting project, Margaret!
I love the frame you chose, too.

Elegant stitches
Hello, everyone at Crazy! I just wanted to
show you my recent finished piece from
issue 251. I really enjoyed stitching this
beautiful design! I stitched her for myself
and now she’s sat in a frame on my shelf.
Kelly-Marie Bateman, Leyton
Emily says: This is wonderful, Kelly-Marie!
I’m not surprised that you kept her –
I wouldn’t be able to part with a finish like
this! The pretty flowers in the geisha’s hair
and her delicate floral fan will make your
home feel like spring all year round, too.

Make a friend’s day
Hello, Crazy team! I’m sending lots of
stitchy greetings your way. I just finished
stitching this little unicorn chart from the
Challenge Lucie section in issue 240.
I stitched it to make a card for my friend
Pat, who lives in the Lake District.
Linda Pijnenburg, Cumbria
Lou says: It’s such a delight to give
special gifts that are made especially
for their recipients. In fact, I’d say
it’s one of my favourite things about
stitching! I love the bright colours of
this design – it’s a top choice for
a card. Your friend Pat is sure to be thrilled
when she receives this thoughtful gift.

Happily

ever after
I worked on this project
for more than three
years, starting when
my daughter was only
one year old. Now she’s
nearly five years old,
and I’ve finally finished
it and had it framed for
her. As you can see,
she’s very happy with
the finished design!
It’s a Bothy Threads kit
by Julia Rigby. It was a challenging
but fun project to stitch as a gift.
Sarah Clarke, Suffolk
Alison says: Your daughter will treasure this for years, Sarah,
knowing her mum made it especially for her. Julia Rigby always
creates such vibrant pieces. If you fancy stitching another one of
her projects, turn to page 10 for her colourful funfair scene.
