To turn your finished stitch into
a bookmark, trim around the edge of your
stitching, leaving a two-square border.
Then, fray one row all around. You can do
this with tweezers or by easing the
strands out with your needle. Back your
design with white paper and, using
double-sided sticky tape, mount it onto
card that’s cut to a size slightly larger than
your aida. Then, mount onto a second
piece of card to finish. Now your
bookmark is ready to accompany you, a
friend or a little one on a journey through
