stay with us while they were away. My brother and I were excited because we
don’t often get to spend time alone with Grandma Tucker. Besides being a
fun, beautiful, and thoughtful woman, Grandma Tucker has a remarkably
creative imagination. She can make really amazing toys out of almost
nothing. My brother Will and I brag about her to all of our friends.
As soon as my parents departed, Grandma’s talents shifted into gear. She
collected scraps of fabric from Mom’s sewing basket and made new dresses for
my dolls. Then she wound string around strips of plastic bags and made
parachutes for Will’s army men. By the time my parents returned, Will and I
had a new and improved collection of toy accessories. Grandma Tucker is even more
