Process a picture
Here we’ve downloaded an iCloud-stored raw file and used
the White Balance panel’s eyedropper to cool down a warm
colour balance. We then tapped the Share icon and saved the
image to the iPad’s Photos Library.

YOU’LLNEED
Pixelmator Photo

As photographers, we have a
range of common problems to
overcome in the quest for a
perfect shot. Pixelmator Photo
enables us to peruse pictures from our Photos
Library (or from sources such as our iCloud
Drive) and then process their colours and
tones to produce better looking versions.
Pixelmator Photo boasts a wider range of tools
than those found in the iOS Photos app, so we
can take more control of our finished photos
from the comfort and convenience of our
iPad’s screen. We can even remove blemishes
such as sensor spots (or even people) thanks
to the intelligent Repair brush. We’ll put that
tool through its paces in the next guide. Any
changes that we make to pictures are non-
destructive, so we can experiment with a
range of looks safe in the knowledge that we
can revert to the original photo at any time.
