take interactive tours of many Greek archaeological sites, including Troy, Tiryns, and Mycenae.


Aegean Prehistoric Archaeology (dartmouth.edu/~prehistory/aegean, accessed March 29, 2016) contains
detailed timelines and lessons, numerous images, and links to further resources concerning the prehistoric
archaeology of the Aegean.


The web-site of the Museum of Cycladic Art in Athens (cycladic.gr, accessed March 29, 2016) offers on-
line access to images of its extensive collection.


Mycenae (mycenae-excavations.org, accessed March 29, 2016) is the web-site maintained by the
Dickinson College Excavation Project and Archaeological Survey of Mycenae, with excellent maps of the
site, photographs, digital reconstructions, and details of the technology used in modern excavations.


ancientscripts.com (accessed March 29, 2016) is a well-documented compendium of world-wide
writing systems from ancient times until today, including detailed pages for Linear A, Linear B, and the
alphabet (but the “Comments” section, like the advertisements, can be safely ignored).
