Remember to be specifi c in evaluating the work that you accomplished and in
describing the motion pictures you have helped to create. Avoid generalizations
and reliance on adjectives when discussing the projects. Use this writing to
progress in your skills and to share a self-evaluation of your work.

A. Collaborative Work – Write a minimum of two paragraphs describing
your work on this project (and class activities, if appropriate). Comment
on the process of creating this video. Please note the following:


  1. Your position and all that you did. If you were a director or
    editor on a class activity, highlight this as well.

  2. Requirements – Comment on your ability to complete the
    projects appropriately.
    a. Were you properly prepared?
    b. Did you complete the shots?
    c. Was the edit complete with all of the appropriate
    elements?

  3. In what ways did the group work together eff ectively? What
    elements of the projects were possible through successful
    collaborative work? Give at least two examples.

  4. How could you improve production or post-production for
    the next project? Give at least one concrete example of an
    action you can take.


B. Video Analysis – Write a minimum of one paragraph to evaluate
the sequences you shot and the work that your group accomplished.
Comment on the following elements:


  1. Framing and camera movement

  2. Pacing of shots

  3. Juxtaposition of shots/cuts

  4. Performances

  5. Overall eff ectiveness of motion picture
