of use for certain features. A Magyar Királyi Operaház(Budapest: Globus,
1935) has lists of all operas given, and A Magyar Királyi Operház 1884–1909
(Budapest: Markovits és Gerai, 1909) details the construction of the building

Ireland


The Republic of Ireland, or Eire, comprises the 26 southern counties of the island; it
has been independent of Great Britain since 1949. Dublin is the only city with an
important operatic history. Its chronicler has been T. J. Walsh.
