  • The General Assembly was held in
    Eilat, Israel, preceded by the EUSA
    Conference a day prior.

  • After successfully participating in the
    Anti-Doping Initiative Project, EUSA
    for the first time joined a number of
    continental partners in a new project
    funded by the European Commission
    under the “Preparatory Action in
    the field of sport” programme, titled
    “Prevention of Sexualised Violence in
    Sports – Impulses for an open, secure
    and sound sporting environment in
    Europe”.

  • In conjunction with FISU, EUSA
    conducted an extensive study on
    gender equality in university sport,
    with the findings publicly presented.

    • At the year-end Executive Committee
      in Cordoba, Spain, Rotterdam edged
      Wroclaw to be attributed the second
      European Universities Games in
      2014.




Judo was added to the European
Universities Championships
sports schedule, with a record
16 Championships hosted in 13
different countries across Europe.
