throughthecentreof eachsquare(Fig 3).

ASSEMBLINGTHEQUILTTOP

Sewyoureight 5 in squaresfromeach
printintorows,matchingupseams to
makea zigzag pattern (Fig 4).

Stitchtherowstogetherwitha sashing
stripin betweeneachone,aswellasat
thetopandbottom.Presstheseams
towardsthesashingstrips(Fig5).

QUILTINGANDFINISHING

Pressthequilttopandbackingwell.Make
a quiltsandwichbyplacingthebacking
fabricrightsidedown,thebattingontop,
thenplacethequilttopcentrallyandright
sideup.Bastethelayers together using your
preferred method.

Quiltasdesired.Joquiltedstraightlines
horizontallythrougheachof thewhite
sashingstrips,aswellasthroughthewhite
linesin theblocks,usinga whitethread.Trim
offtheexcessbattingandbacking fabric
andsquare up the quilt.

Sewthebindingstripstogether
end-to-endusingdiagonalseams.Press
theseamsopenandtrimawaythedogears.
Foldin halflengthways,wrong sides
together, and press.

Sewthebindingtotherightsideof the
quilt,creatinga neatmitreat eachcorner.
Foldthebindingovertothebackof the quilt
and hand stitch in place to finish.
