Fusethegreenpiecestoeithersideof the

batting,followingthemanufacturer’s

instructions.Quiltasdesired.Sarahquilteda

cross-hatchpattern,followingthelines of

thefabric, in contrasting threads.

UsetheSleepMask template to trim the

quilted fabric.

Presstheorangebiasstripin half

lengthwise,WST.Sewthestriparoundthe

outeredgesof themask,carefullyeasing

aroundthecurves.Pressto the other side

andhand sew in place.

Pressunderin alongeachshortedgeof

the orange 13 / 8 in x 15in strip to the wrong

side.Pressthestripin halflengthwise,RST.

Sewalongthelongedges. Press and then

trimthe seamto^1 / 8 in.

Turnthestriprightsideoutandpress,

makingsuretherawedgesat theshort

endsarepushedinside.Attacha safetypin

totheendof theelastic,andusetofeed

insidethestrip.Whentheunpinnededgeis

insidethestrip,sewin placealongthe short

edge,backstitching at each end.

Oncetheelasticis securedat oneend,

continuefeedingthroughtotheother

end.Removethesafetypinandsewthe

elasticin placeat theotherend.Adjustthe

gathersof thefabricacross the elastic to

complete the strap.

Sewthestrapin placeat eachendof the

mask,stitchingoverthetopof the

previous securing stitches to finish.
