LaytheliningpieceRSTwiththepieced

panelandsewaroundtheedge,leaving

a 5inturninggap.Clipthecornersand

turnrightsideout.Pressandtopstitch^1 / 8 in

aroundtheedge, closing the turning gap

asyoudo so.

Withthepatchworkpanelfacingup,

bringthebottomleftcornerup,sothe

leftshortedgealignswiththetop,forming

a triangle.Repeatat theotherend,

bringingthetoprightcornerdownto

meetthebottomedge(Fig6). Clip to

holdin place temporarily.

Foldthepanelalongthediagonalin

thecentre,markedwitha dottedline

in Fig7. Thepanelshouldmaketheshape

shown in Fig 8, with the lining on the

outside.Pinthetwoedgesofthetop

layer,RSTwheretheymeetalongthe

diagonal(shownin red).Turn over and

repeat on the other side.

Sewyourtwopinneddiagonaledges

together,carefullybackstitchingat each

endof theseamtosecurethestitches.Pull

thethreadendstotheliningsideof the

bag,knotoffandtrim.Turn the bag right

sideoutand press.

Hemthetwoshorteredgesof the

denimpiecebyin.Foldin half

lengthwiseandsewalongthelongedgesto

createa tube.Turnrightsideoutandslide

overonesideof thebag(FigA).Overlap

thehandles,andsewa squarewherethe

twohandlesjoin(FigB).Slidethedenim

cover over the handles to finish.
