tomakeeightHSTs(Fig1). Repeat with the
remaining 6in squares.

darkred/white HSTS.

Clipintotheseamallowanceofthe
innerandoutercornersofthecentre
plus(Fig4).Pressunderin alltheway
aroundtheouteredge.Centretheplusin
themiddleoftheblock,andbastein place
usingyourpreferredmethod.Machine
stitcharoundtheouteredgeusinga
matchingthreadandzig-zagstitch,
pivotingat thecornerstocomplete the
medallion centre block.
