Multiplying and dividing monomials is a little different. In addition and subtraction, you can combine only like terms. With
multiplication and division, you can multiply and divide terms that are different. When you multiply monomials, multiply the
coefficients of each term. (In other words, multiply the numbers that come before the variables.) Add the exponents of like
variables. Multiply different variables together.
WATCH OUT
Make sure you combine only like terms.
Use the FOIL method to multiply and divide binomials. FOIL stands for First, Outer, Inner, Last.
