New York City SHSAT 2017

(Marvins-Underground-K-12) #1

Strengths and Weaknesses

Take one minute to list the areas of the test that you are good at. They can be general (“reading”) or specific (“Logical Reasoning
questions”). Put down as many as you can think of and, if possible, time yourself. Write for the entire time; don’t stop writing until
you’ve reached the one-minute stopping point.

THINK GOOD THOUGHTS

Create a set of positive but brief affirmations and mentally repeat them to yourself just before you fall asleep at night.
(That’s when your mind is very open to suggestion.) You’ll find yourself feeling a lot more positive in the morning.

Periodically repeating your affirmations during the day makes them more effective.
