Plan
Basic blocks create a complex jewel
of a quilt, with matching sets of blocks
interacting with one another in a dazzling
display. The construction is simple; the
hardest part is arranging the blocks be-
fore sewing them together, so a vertical
design wall will be very helpful.
This pattern uses the Fast Flying Geese
technique for speedy units that don’t
waste any fabric. You’ll create 4 matching
units at a time, though you’ll need just
3 units in some cases. Use the leftover
blocks to make matching pillow shams,
or blocks to use on the back of the quilt
to make a reversible quilted treasure.
Use an accurate ¼ ̋ seam allowance
throughout to ensure all elements of the
quilt fi t together well.
