4 Referring to Diagram IV, join units and

Flying Geese as shown to make a block.

Repeat steps 1–4 to make 16 blocks

total.

5 Note: Refer to Assembly Diagram

for following steps. Sew 5 rows of

4 white E‘s and 5 print F‘s each.

6 Sew 4 rows of 4 blocks and 5 white E‘s

each. Join rows together, alternating.

7 Join white border strips and cut to sizes

shown in Assembly Diagram. Match-

ing centers and ends, sew border side

strips to quilt. Repeat to add border top

and bottom strips.

8 Layer, baste, and quilt. Jessica machine

quilted a rose motif across the quilt

surface. Bind the quilt.

Cut

Patches are lettered in order of use.
Cut largest patches fi rst. Measurements
include ¼ ̋ seam allowances. Border
strips will be pieced and cut to exact
length needed. You may want to make
them longer to allow for piecing varia-
tions.

Sew

will need 16 blocks total. Referring

and to Diagram I, join 2 matching

assorted print A’s and 2 white solid A’s

to make 4 matching unit 1’s. Make 4

unit 1’s per block.

2 Referring to Fast Flying Geese

4 matching print A‘s and 1 white B to

make 4 Flying Geese. Make 4 Flying

Geese per block.

3 Referring to Stitch-and-Flip in Quilt

1 print C as shown to make unit 2.
