FINISHING
1 SewthesquaresofthePlayingBoardtogethermakinga 3x3
square.Rotateeachalternatesquare so that the garter stitch rows
arefacinginoppositedirections.
2 Using2x2.5mlengthsofyarnforeachtwistedcord,make2 cords
inYarnBand2 inYarnCinthefollowingway:holdingthe2 lengths
together,foldtheminhalfandhookthecentreloopovera door
handle. Twist the yarn in one direction until the yarn is twisted

tightly.Foldtheyarnsinhalfagain,allowingeachhalftotwist

togetherwiththeotherhalf.Tietheyarns together at the end and

cutthecordfromthedoorhandle.

3 Neatenthetasselattheendoftheknot,thenusematching

sewingthreadtosewthetwisted cords to the boards to mark out

thedifferentsquares.

4 OnceyouhavesewnthecordstotheBoard,tiea knotwherethe

cordmeetstheendofthePlayingBoard,then trim the ends to

makea tasseltomatchtheknottedends.

5 SewthemainseamoftheLadybirds,leavinga smallgapfor

turningandstuffing.TurnandstufftheLadybirds,thenclosethe

gapinthe seam, including drawing the cast-on edge into a closed

circle.

6 Usingblacksewingthread,sew4 buttonstothebackofeachof

theyellowLadybirdsina roundshape;and 5 buttons to the back of

each red Ladybird in a cross shape.
