SLEEVES(MAKE2)
Cast on 61 ( 63 : 65 : 67 ) sts using 4mm needles.
Rows 1 and 2 Knit.
Row 3 (RS) P1, K1, P1; rep from to end.
Row 4 K1, P1, K1; rep from to end.
Cont in stitch patt as set for Back, inc 1 st at each end of next row
and 3 foll alt rows, then every foll 6th row until there are 87 ( 89 : 91 :
93 ) sts.
Cont straight until work measures 28 ( 29 : 29 : 30 )cm, ending with a
WS row.


SHAPE SLEEVEHEAD
Cast off 4 ( 4 : 5 : 5 ) sts at the beg of next 2 rows. [79 ( 81 : 81 : 83 ) sts]
Dec 1 st at each end of next 5 rows, then on every foll alt row to 57


sts,thenonfoll 11 rows,endingwith a WS row. [35 sts]

MAKINGUP
Blockpiecesgently,followingany instructions on the ball band.
WithRSfacing,joinrightshoulder using mattress stitch.

NECKBAND
WithRSfacingand3.25mmneedles, pick up and K28 ( 28 : 29 : 29 )
sts down left-hand side of neck, K17 ( 15 : 17 : 17 ) sts from the Front
stitch holder, pick up and K28 ( 28 : 29 : 29 ) up right side of neck,
pick up and K3 sts from right side of Back neck, K37 ( 37 : 37 : 39 ) sts
from Back stitch holder, pick up and K3 sts from left side of Back
neck. [116 ( 114 : 118 : 120 ) sts]
Row 1 *K1, P1; rep from * to end.
Rows 2 to 6 Rep Row 1.
Cast off all sts.

FINISHING
Sew left shoulder and Neckband seam as for right shoulder. Sew
Sleeves onto main body easing work into armholes where
necessary. Sew side and Sleeve seams.

STEP-BY-STEP PICK UP AND KNIT


1 Holding the piece of knitting you
are going to pick the sts up from in
your left hand, and starting at the
top-right corner, insert the
right-hand needle between the first
two stitches of the row.


2 Wind your yarn around the needle
and ‘knit’ the first stitch...

3 ...and pull the new stitch through
between the two stitches.

4 Continue to work like this along
the row or until you have picked up
the necessary amount of stitches.
