OWL TEA COSY


ATTACHTHEBEAK
1 Threadtheendoftheyarnthroughtheremainingstitchesand
throughtheloop of the yarn itself – draw up the knitting tightly and
fastenoff.
2 Withrightsidestogether,sewrowendstogether,halfwaydown.
Fromthecast-onedge,sewtherowendstogether,leavinga gap
beforereachingtheseamyouhavejustsewn. Turn right sides out
andstufflightly.Sewthegapclosed.
3 Withthedrawn-uppartoftheBeakuppermost,pintheBeakto
theOwl’sfacebetweentheEyeCircles.Thedrawn-uppartofthe
Beakshouldbeonthetipof the face brow. Sew into place.

FEET(MAKE2)
Caston 14 stsusing 4mm needles and Yarn F.
Row 1 Knit.
Row 2 Purl.
Row 3 K2,castoffnext 10 sts,K1.[4sts]
Row 4 P2,caston 10 sts,P2.[14sts]
RepeatRows1 to 4 one more time.
Row 9 Knit.
Row 10 Purl.
Castoff.

ATTACHTHEFEET
1 Withwrongsidestogether,foldFeetinhalfsothattherowedges
aretogether.Youwillseethiscreates loops. Oversew the edges of
theloopstoformthreetoes.
2 OversewtheBack of the Foot to hold the cast-on and cast-off
edgestogether.
3 SliptheFeet,toesout, under the front edge of the main Tea Cosy
andpinintoplace.
4 SewtheFeetontotheTeaCosyfromtheinsideoftheTeaCosy.
SewthebackedgeoftheFootandsewinthebackloopsofthemain
Cosystitchessothat the sewing doesn’t show on the right side.

FINISHING
Darninyarnsends and refer to manufacturer’s instructions for
yarn care.

1 Insertthepointoftheright-hand
needlethroughtheloopsofthe
next two stitches as if to knit.

2 Windtheyarnroundthetipofthe
right-handneedleandpulltheyarn
throughthetwostitches, knitting
them both together.

3 Dropthetwostitchesfromthe
left-handneedleandkeepthenew
stitch on the right-hand needle.

4 Knittingtwostitchestogether
decreasesyourstitchcountbyone,
andthedecreasestitchleanstothe
right.Thisis howa series of k2tog
