(2) Ashley will sp en d twice as m u ch tim e on th e stair m ach in e as on th e rowing
machine.

Miguel also uses th e stair m achine a n d th e rowing m ach in e at th e gym for an
exercise program. His train e r w ants h im on an exercise program th a t m eets these
three conditions:


(1) Miguel will sp en d at m ost 60 m in u tes w orking o ut at th e gym.
(2) Miguel will exercise for at least 30 m inutes, dividing his tim e b etw een the
stair m achine an d th e rowing m achine.
(3) Miguel will sp en d at least twice as m u ch tim e on th e stair m ach in e as on
th e rowing m achine.
