What is each difference?
0 - 8 — ( - 1 3 ) = - 8 + 13 The opposite o f - 1 3 is 13. So add 13.

0 3. 5 - 12 .4 = 3 .5 + ( - 1 2. 4 ) The opposite o f 12.4 is - 1 2 .4. So add - 1 2 .4.
