Habitat

- Say the word habitat with me three times.
- A habitat is a place where animals or plants live that has food, water,
and shelter. - A plant that needs a lot of water will survive in a habitat where there is
a lot of rain. But it will not survive in a desert habitat. - Name a plant or animal and its habitat. For example, a bear’s habitat
is a forest. Use the word habitat when you tell about it. I will call on a
few of you to share.
Purpose for Listening
Tell students that the main topic, or main idea, of today’s lesson is
deciduous trees. Tell them to listen carefully to find out what happens to
deciduous trees throughout the year.
