rotation on its axis and the earth’s orbit
around the sun.

have students summarize what they
learned about the earth. Record student
observations on the Earth Idea Web.
Illustrate each written observation with a
small drawing. (See Instructional Master
1A-2 for an example of what a completed
Earth Idea Web might look like.)
