CHAPTER 23 ■ THE MOTHERBOARD



  1. Loop some bare wire starting at the positive pin on the Molex header that
    receives power from the power switch (see Figure 23-11). This bare wire is the
    beginning of the positive distribution bus.

  1. Loop the bare wire up to the top of the board and back down again (see left side
    of Figure 23-12). Not only does this provide a mechanically strong starting point
    for the bus wire, but also makes a nice little loop that is perfect for hooking a
    multimeter probe.

  2. Back on the underside, make a long stretch with the bare wire (see Figure 23-13)
    and solder in place.
