To be eligible you must qualify in two of three standards:
- Graduate in the top half of your graduating class;
- Score a minimum of 18 on the ACT or 860 on the SAT; or
- Achieve a high-school GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Once accepted and competing you must:
- Be in good academic standing according to school
standards; - Make normal progress toward graduation according to
school standards; - Be enrolled in 12 credits during your season of competition;
- Accumulate a minimum of 24 credits the two previous
terms (repeated courses don’t apply to that 24); - As a junior, you must have achieved a GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0
scale; and - In your second competitive season, you must have accu-
mulated a minimum of 24 semester hours of credit (that
number is factorial for years three and four).
There is no eligibility center in the
NAIA. Also, you may transfer among
NAIA colleges with no “sit out” pen-
alty. You may have a campus tryout for
a team and not be penalized.
