Coaches rarely offer any kind of financial aid to stu-
dents who haven’t been certified eligible by the NCAA
Eligibility Center. You can get the form free from your
guidance counselor, athletic director, or coach. If it’s not
available, call the NCAA Eligibility Center at (800) 638-
3731 or http://www.ncaa.org for a free form.
You and the college coach will receive notice of your
eligibility certification from the NCAA. You will be given
a Personal Identification Number (PIN). On the NCAA Eli-
gibility Form, you will be asked which colleges you wish
to be notified. The NCAA will notify those colleges you
identify of your eligibility status.
