image that draws the viewer’s
attention to the shape of the
tern’s outline, and into the
details on its wings and tail.
The negative space (where
the area around the main
subject forms an important
part of the composition) is

the black & white treatment.
The viewer’s eye is carried
down the path and through the
gnarly trees, with the mist
injecting a sense of
mysteriousness and calmness
at the same time. Waldemar
has processed the image very
sensitively, and the subtle tone
is a lovely fi nishing touch.
Defi nitely a picture to be
printed and hung on the wall
for everyone to enjoy.
