It feels a real brick to carry sometimes and it can be very unforgiving to the
uninitiated given its ultra-shallow depth of field. But when combined with the Nikon
D850 the results can be sublime. At around 15ft, this image was shot at 1/800sec at
an aperture of f/4. Taking that into account, your depth of field using this lens will
still be no more than the width of a 50-pence piece at ISO 140. Single-point focus
was the obvious choice with the emphasis positioned on the eye of my subject.
