creates this magical bokeh

effect where the focus

falls off dramatically. It’s

a brave move but worth it.

veryone’s route into the photo

industry is diff erent; my path

was a gentle discovery that

excited me, and I wanted to fi nd

out more. When I was a teenager, I would

often accompany my dad when he went to

photo studios to view or collect his prints.

He was a draftsman working on Concorde

by day and a musician by night – he loved

both, and the technical yet creative parts

of him rubbed off on me by osmosis.

He often had promotional shots taken

because he was a soloist and in groups,

and needed updated images for

agents and venues.
