camera,theGFX100.Thecamera’s
standoutfeatureis its102-million-pixel
sensorthatmeasures43.8x 32.9mm,
makingit some70%largerin areathan
full-frame.It alsoboasts5-axisin-body
stabilisationand4Kvideorecording.I was
luckyenoughto attenditslaunchin Japan
andspenda dayusinga production
camera,andit’sanimpressivebeast.
Ofcourse,I doubtmanyof ourreaders
arelikelytobuya 102MPcamerathat
willcost£10,000body-onlywhenit goes
on sale at the end of June. But it’s a really

excitingdemonstrationof what’scurrently

possibleat thecuttingedgeof camera

technology.Also,forone-offspecial

occasions,it won’tnecessarilybe out

of thequestionto hire one.
