Dear Family Member,
This week all of your child’s spelling words include the /ie/
sound (long vowel sound of the letter ‘i’). In some words the
/ ie/ sound of the letter ‘i’ is spelled with the letters ‘igh’. In other
words it is spelled with ‘y’.
Please help your child to work with their alphabetizing skills by completing
the back of this worksheet.
Just as you did last week, please follow these directions:
- Have your child write the alphabet down the side of the paper.
- Have your child read all of the words aloud and circle the first letter in
each word. - Ask your child to write each set of words in alphabetical order.
