Dear Family Member,

Below you will find our spelling words for this week. We are

beginning to learn how to put words in alphabetical order using

just the first letter of each word.

The worksheet your child has for homework should be completed in this

way:

1. On the back of this page, have your child write the alphabet down the
   side of the paper.


2. Have your child read all of the words aloud and circle the first letter in
   each word.


3. Ask your child to write each set of words in alphabetical order.
   quickly neatly ugly jelly chilly
   slowly funny angry empty mommy
   daddy happy pretty grumpy

Tricky Word: alphabet

Please continue to encourage your child to read at least 20 minutes every

night. At this point in the school year, your child should be able to self-select

reading material and read independently for the entire 20 minutes.
