Early Asian Civilizations: Supplemental Guide 7A | Buddhism 139
Use a Drawing activity for follow-up. Directions: Think of a challenge you
were able to conquer this past year. It may be something you learned at
school, such as reading or speaking in front of a group of people. Or it
may be something outside of school, such as learning to ride a bike or
overcoming a fear. Draw a picture of the challenge you have been able
to conquer. After you finish your drawing, write a sentence explaining
what challenge you were able to conquer. Use the word conquer in your
sentence. [Suggested sentence frame: “I was able to conquer... this
past year.”]
Note: To save time, you may wish to turn this follow-up into a Sharing
activity.
