Repetition in Nursery Rhymes



  • Tell students that sometimes nursery rhymes repeat a line. Repeating
    lines in a poem make the poem interesting and easy to remember.

  • Read the nursery rhyme again and ask students to listen for the line
    that is repeated (Hickory, dickory, dock).
