A sunset sonata


I madethisUnionJackquiltformysonwholivesinSanFrancisco.It is 92”in
squareandmadefromblue,red,andwhitestripedshirtfabrics.Someofthe
shirtswerehis,andotherspurchasedfromcharityshops.Thequiltincludesa
fewplacketswiththebuttons, and even a few shirt labels too.It’s a little reminder
ofhisBritishhome!

lovelypeacockgreenwithpink
highlights.I decidedtomakeit
asa surprisefora friendwhohas
tospendtimeinhospitalseveral
timesa yearduetoa chronic
condition.Afterall,it’snot
justchildrenwhobenefitfrom
quiltedhugs!Thepatternwas
sucha pleasuretomake– sowell
thoughtoutandtheinstructions
soclear.I reversedthecoloursas
shelovespink.I finallyfinishedit
andgaveit toherlastweek,and
