Sewthefour(4)quarters
togethersothatthegreen
trianglesoversection 14 meetin
thecentre,asshowninFig 8. Make
anothertwenty-four(24)blocks
usinga mixtureofallthedierent
prints you have chosen.

Sewtheblockstogetherinto
five(5)rowsoffive(5).Sew
rowstogether. Remove all papers and
press well.

Finishingyour quilt

Piecethebackingfabricby
cuttingtheyardageintotwo
(2)equallengths.Removethe
selvedges and sew together along the

lengthwithainseamallowance,
toforma centre seam. Press well all
over.

Makea quiltsandwichof
yourbackingfabric(rightside
down),thebattingandthequilttop
(rightsideup).Basteorpinthelayers
togetherandthenquiltasyouwish.
Thequiltshownwasfree-motion
quilted using an overall pattern.

Oncequilted,trimothe
excessbackingfabricand
batting and square up the quilt.

Preparethebindingbysewing
thesevenstripsendtoendto
formonelonglength.Foldalongthe
fulllength,wrongsidestogetherand
press. Use this to bind the quilt.

Repeatstep 11 tocover
sections11-13andfinishthe
quarterblockbyaddingtheother
green triangle to section 14 (Fig 7 ).
