Advance Preparation
Prepare a copy of Instructional Master 5A-1 for each student. Refer to it
as Response Card 5 (The Bremen Town Musicians). Students can use
this Response Card for discussion, for review, and to answer questions.
Bring in pictures or realia of different instruments, including flute and
drum.

For End-of-Lesson Check-In, prepare a copy of Instructional Master 5B-1
(Story Image Sheet) and a Character, Setting, Plot Map (a three-circle
chart) for each student. Students can choose pictures of characters and
settings from the image sheet to cut and paste onto their Character,
Setting, Plot Map. Alternatively, you may wish to create a large Character,
Setting, Plot Map for the whole class to fill in together.
