 Identify the beginning, middle, and end in the story “Chicken Little”
 Distinguish between the elements of “Chicken Little” that are real and
elements that are fantasy
 Identify “Chicken Little” as fiction

 Produce and expand complete sentences in shared language
activities using the question word who (L.K.1f)
 Identify new meanings for familiar words, such as piece, and apply
them accurately (L.K.4a)
 Identify real-life connections between words—fiction, met, piece, and
sly—and their use (L.K.5c)
