FIND FIBER

For a burrito to be a good source of fi ber, it
should have at least 3 grams. We found that
bean-based ones tend to be the most fi ber-
full, compared to burritos made with meat.

EYE PORTION SIZES

Serving size is key: a bigger burrito means
more food—but also more sodium and cal-
ories. (One came in at 1,670 mg—more than
two-thirds of your total sodium for the day!)
The burritos that fi t our sodium targets nat-
urally keep calories in check, at 300 to 400
calories. This makes for a fairly light lunch, so
consider adding a side like guacamole and
veggies for dipping or a small salad.

PICK PROTEIN

Protein helps give your meal staying power,
keeping you fuller longer. Vegetarian? No
sweat. Most bean burritos have numbers com-
parable to meaty ones, about 12 to 14 grams.
