STEP THREE: Next we’ll add a subtle

drop shadow to slightly lift the

receipt off the cork texture. Click

on the receipt blank layer in the

Layers panel to make it active. Click

on the Add a Layer Style icon (ƒx)

at the bottom of the Layers panel,

and select Drop Shadow. Use the

settings below and click OK.

• Blend Mode: Normal


• Opacity: 25%


• Angle: 136°


• Distance: 5 px


• Spread: 30%


• Size: 20 px

STEP FOUR: Right-click on the words

“Drop Shadow” below the receipt

blank layer in the Layers panel, and

select Create Layer. This rasterizes

the drop shadow and places it onto

its own layer. Click on the Drop

Shadow layer to make it active, and

then use the Arrow keys on your

keyboard to move it so that there’s

no shadow at the top or the left of

the receipt. We want the shadow to

mimic the push pin’s shadow angle.
